To Steve Irwin's family, which I believe he felt was each and every living creature on this planet:
We have lost a great human being.
Words just don't seem to express the deep sadness and loss that has cast a dark cloud over the universe.
My family & I have been watching Steve & Terri on television for years. While I was in labor with both of my children (now they are 7 & 5) I had The Crocodile Hunter on the screen. Steve's enthusiasm and zest for wildlife would take me away to a place where I would forget my labor pains. Thyme and Finn, my children, think of Steve as a hero. My daughter, Thyme, had an assignment in Kindergarten to make a poster titled "All about Me". On the poster she wrote in her best 5 year old handwriting "I admire Steve Irwin" with a photo of Steve under it. She has that poster proudly hung on her bedroom wall to this day.
We took a family vacation in Orlando, Florida, in the summer of 2004. My daughter, Thyme, and son, Finn, were such big fans of Steve Irwin, they chose Gatorland over Disney World. When the gator wrestler asked for volunteers, my kids sprang from their seats while teens in the audience stood frozen. They were only 4 and 2 at the time.
Steve has educated a whole new generation of wildlife warriors. He has helped to ensure that his voice and passion for wildlife will be continued with all the people he has touched while we were lucky enough to have him in the world.
Thank you.
You are missed but not forgotten.

Dear Terri.
I am very sorry to hear about Steve's death. It came as a chok for everybody in Denmark. 2 years ago my friend and I payed a visit to Australia zoo, and sow what a great job you did for animals. Since that day I have been a great fan of Steve and your programs. It's a great loss for society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
May Steve rest in peace.

We are so saddened by the loss of Steve. He was so gifted and talented and we were constantly amazed at his life. May he live on through us as we learn to embrace life as he did. Much love, comfort and peace from God to Terri and the children and the rest of the Zoo family.

Dear Terri.
I was so sorry to hear about Steve's death! You know, since I was a kid, I have allways find Steves programs very facanating, so it's great lost for me too.
Both you, and Steve made the best animal programs in the world, and you did a beautiful and great job to try and protect the animals you cared about.
I send my deepest condolence for you. It's a great lost for your family, but also a great lost for the whole world!
And to Steve:
You were, and still are, the best Croc Hunter in the world! Your job and your fasanation for wild animals has inspireret me, to become a protecter like you, and do the same beautiful ting, that you did!
May you rest in peace Steve.
You will allways stay in my mind!

Dear Terri ,I dont know why I feel so much sadness about steve , apart from my 9 year old loving his work I didnt even know him. I just have the feeling just by watching him on the telly that he was such a lovely person, brilliant dad and perfect husband. We were watching him the other day and my 9 year old daughter said "oh mum they are going to miss him" thats when it brought it home to me this sad loss.I really wish I could help this pain and give you and your children a big hug.Be proud, your husband is a legend all over the world because of his genuine love of wildlifexx

It will come as no surprise that I, like so many of Steve's unknown fans woke to the news of Steve's passing. Briefly, I would like to say how much our family enjoyed watching the adventures he and his family shared. I recently wrote to another, that in life, it is always easy to find time to do tasks and chores that keep us apart from those we cherish, Steve and his family gave us an easy reason to be together. My son and I spent the last ten years together, watching Crocodile Hunter and many of Steve's other specials and shows. He gave families a solid reason to enjoy not just his company but they're own company. While, on the surface of it, that might seem to most to be the objective of any family, I believe that many, here in the United States, can find any number of excuses to do "separated things together". I have ten years worth of memories with my son, that I might not otherwise have. While I like to think that I would have done better, I don't have that particular past to look back on. We were together, my son and I and I know that Steve is at least partially responsible for those good times.
Please whisper to him that I am personally very grateful.
My deepest condolences go to Terri, Bindy, Baby Bob, Robert (Dad), and to Wes. Words alone can not express the deep sorrow I know you all must be experiencing. I can only offer our prayers, our sympathies and wish for you all, God's blessing for you all. Our hearts have all been deeply touched by Steve. Thank you for sharing him and yourselves with our families.

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road. Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you were to go.
So make the best of this test and donīt ask why, itīs not a question but a lesson learned in time.
Itīs something unpredictable, but in the end itīs right, I hope you had the time of your life.
So take the photographs and still frames in your mind, hang it on a shelf of good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial, for what itīs worth it was worth all the while.
Itīs something unpredictable, but in the end itīs right, I hope you had the time of your life.
Bye Steve...

My deepest condolences to the Irwin family, I know how it feels to loose someone so close to you. You were lucky to have Steve as a part of your family because he had a gift, not only was he entertaining but he was able to show the world in which most of us would never even get the chance to see.
Rest in Peace Steve Irwin.
