He was a wonderful friend to all animals and animal lovers. He will be greatly missed and we will all be watching all of the wonderful things that the rest of this very special family will be doing to carry on the legacy that he started and make all of his dreams come true. So here is to Steve, Terri, Bindi, Baby Bob, and all of the Wildlife Warriors at the Australian Zoo. Just know Steve will be greatly missed and touched the lives of so many in his life and in his death.

You've shown us all that life is short and we should enjoy our goals and hobbies while it lasts. Thanks to you, I've decided to change my way of life because, Steve, you've made me realise that it is really short and we should all experience its adventures with a 'whahoo!' and 'Crikey!' factor! I know this is a belated condolence but I am showing my deepest appreciation. Terri, Bindi and the Irwin Family, never give up and smile always - Steve is looking down on you all from above with a big smile of his own.

My heart goes out to you and your family as the one year anniversary has come. Theres not a day that goes by that I don't stop and think about Steve. He was a wonderful man and I wish I could have met him. My daughter(who is 4 years old) loves crocodiles and I think she would love to visit Australia Zoo. Maybe one day we will be able to travel there and see Steve's legacy and love for wildlife. God bless you all and we know that Steve is looking down on all of us.

Steve Irwin was an ambassador of kindness who was taken from life too soon. Like the brightest stars, he burned out quickly, but he left beauty in his wake.

On earth in the animal kingdom
you were a king,
Through the creatures you lived
an eagle with wings.
A fight to the death passion so intense
communication through the soul
your gift they could sense.
Exuberance beamed from you
love of life so rare
brought to the nations attention issues
others would not dare.
Pandoras box has been opened
your legacy to live on
enthusiasm and determination
your spirit has shone.
A personality larger than life
your charisma did ooze
dedication to survival of wildlife
you would passionately choose.
Bright spirit so tame
yet so wild at heart
dream a dream make a difference
a soul ready to part.
Legend and a hero
an impression never forgot
men envied your bravery
women thought you were hot.
Goodbye crocodile hunter
the world loves you so much
all creatures and humans
every heart you have touched.
in gods kingdom for eternity
warrior hero with love
you were a messenger for peace
a national icon....a white dove

My son and I remain somewhat in disbelief that it has been a year since Steve was taken from us all way too soon. He has touched the world with his love for animals (esp. the ones who are not "cute and furry"). We can never say thank you enough for all he has done to bring awareness of the issues that face the animals in our world.
Terri, Bindi and Bob,
Cherish all the wonderful memories that you have. We could all see how very much he loved and cherished you as well as all those he loved. He lived life each day as if it were his last and was taken way too soon. You continue to be in our hearts and prayers, and you continue to amaze us all by your ability to continue on. I have no doubt that Steve is very very proud of you all. His love for you will never die as long as you continue to love eachother.

My mother & I have always been big fans of the entire Irwin family. I haven't cried much since last year, but today watching tributes to Steve I found myself missing him tremendously. He's always so joyful on his shows, even when he's getting hurt, its hard to miss him because he's just so alive. Today was the exception, but I know he's up in heaven, probably wrestling crocs and telling everyone up there how proud he is of his family & friends for continuing his great deeds. I miss you Steve and can't wait to meet you in heaven!

I was so saddened by his death, but I am so happy to see Bindi take over her dad's legacy. Teri and Steve have raised a wonderful loving family. The world is missing an amazing man, but is gaining his 2 amazing children. I pray that Teri will keep Steve's love close to her heart and have the strength to carry on when she think she's had enough. She is a strong wonderful woman and mother. I wish you all peaceful moments for the rest of your lives. Steve, you are missed so much.
