I think that Steve was a huge hero for any kid when i first saw him on T.V I knew i wanted to be just like him when i was older and he was very adventurous and i wished i could travel around the world and see and experience what he did and anyone could look up to him as a super hero the day he died i wished i could have traded places with him so he could keep going to do what he did but then i thought i can still be just like him to keep educating kids about animals and be just like my hero
R.I.P Steve Irwin you will always be in our hearts and prayers and you will always be my hero Feb.22, 1962- Sep.4 2006

It has been a long time now since Steve has passed. As I was buying my tickets for Sydney the other day I could not help but think of him. I finally am going to the land down under, a land so different then my own. Steve showed me for years what was there and really encouraged me to visit one day! Americans like myself love him, and always will. He brought to us something that was very unknown to us, he showed us his world and all the creatures in it! I will be volunteering with orphaned wildlife for 3 weeks while visiting, I think he would be proud!
We miss you mate, you really changed the way people look at wildlife and treat them. We will miss you very much!! You inspired us all!

I remember when I'd heard the news of Steve's passing. I have heard that when a person leaves this life, it is because they have completed their mission. Steve's mission was certainly one he'd realized from a young age and lived it up until the moment he died. Love to his family and friends - he was a blessing to all beings.

A year before Steve died, I had a dream that he died and in the dream I was so depressed...how could one of the only tue hero's in our world die?? I was elated to wake up and realise it was only a dream! I remember my feelings so clearly about him being dead in the dream...whew...just a nightmare, we still have this wonderful person teaching us. When he was killed in real life..I felt it all over again only this time was real....I would love to have been able to have met him...I think he was and still is a great inspiration!

I still find myself in sad disbelief every time I think about Steve.
Of all the people in the world that that have passed on there are only two I wish I could bring back, my grandpa and Steve. I deeply regret that I never got the chance to meet him in person. He was a truly amazing and one of a kind man. The world lost a REAL hero. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Steve was the best man i have ever seen or heard of, and my heart cracked when i heard the news of his passing. I can remember growing up watching all of his programmes along with his wife Terri and later his children Bindi and Bob. I hope that they know that he was the best father you could ever wish for and he had a sole and unmissable love for animals, and even now i continue to watch the re-runs every week. What i shall continue to do until the day i die is remember that Steve will never be forgotten in my heart and how i would have loved to see him what he did best at Australia Zoo. God bless you Steve and you will never be forgoten and you will always be missed. Crocs Rule.

When I was about 10 or so me and my sister Krystal Schader would watch the Crocodile Hunter every week... Steve was our idle, we looked up to him. We used to always say that someday we would meet him and become friends with him, haha. When Steve died my sister and I both cried, we both felt pain and we both got through it together, I know the loss of an idle and a television show doesn't even come close to the pain you feel and felt... I just want you to know that their are still people out here that think about Steve all the time and still watch the re-runs of his show every week. We miss him and he'll always be in our hearts..
