This year in my English class we had to write a epic poem on our hero and here is mine I wrote on my hero steve.
The greatest hero in the world I'll never get to meet He changed our world You may call him crazy But croc's are what he loved And creepy Crawling Creatures
Loving man large as life
Saving animals was his life Taking journeys all over the world It didn't matter if he got hurt As long as his friends where safe One tragic day took you away Weeping willows weep around the world Crikey the croc's are crying But we'll never forget the hero you were mate Loved Legacy Lives on
We're sorry we never met you steve We're sorry we were too late TO shake your hand, say thank you Face to Face, Mate to Mate I think we'll miss you steve.... goodbye

I know it has been a long time since he passed but an old show was running and reminded me of him. Although, I know his death was much more difficult for his family it was also very sad for me. Steve Irwin was my childhood idle! I loved watching his shows! He made me become an nature lover and I have never feared the idea of crocodiles or snakes. I miss him very much!

I never got around to it but I just wanted to say to Bindy that I was her age when my father died. It was a carbon monoxide accident. So I know somewhat of what she went through. I grew up watching Steve Irwin, the crocidile hunter show was my favorite. He made me laugh so much and I loved his enthusiasm for animals. I am an animal lover too, I have had rats, guinea pigs, ferrets, dogs, a cat, fish, turtles, I even had a Coatimundi. Someday I would like to come visit the zoo that Steve worked so hard in.

I really looked up to Steve, he was my idol and still is. I don't think that anyone could be more passionate about the wildlife and environment as much as he was. No-one will ever fill your position as you are my one and only hero. I think you were put on this planet to complete something and that was to reach out to anybody who didn't care much about the Earth and you completed it. Thank you very much. I will never forget you.

Like many others here, I grew up watching Steve Irwin's show. At an early age I developed a deep love for animals and I credit Steve for a lot of this. He helped expose me to the beauty of this world through my television.
Im now 18 and about to graduate. I plan to attend college to train to be a vet and a part time artist. I will help save domestic animals while I draw and paint wild animals in my spare time (animals have always been my only artistic inspiration) I may not be able to get out there in the wild like Steve did, but I will use every skill that God gave me to make a difference.
Thank you for raising me as you did Steve Irwin. Without you being my inspiration and hero, I would not be the person I am today. Thank you and God Bless you and your family.

Steve Irwins dead made an impact on my life. Before his death everyday i would watch his TV shows. I always looked up to him. When i was younger i always dreamed of becomeing a teacher, but as i watched Steve more and more i knew i wanted to do something like him. I have always loved animals, so i decided i would try to find some type of career that involved what he did. Every day i wake up and i do what i can for animals. My favorite type are the wild ones, because a lot of people fear them. I considered and still so consider Steve Irwin my hero. I Love and Miss You!!!

Hey Steve, my family and i recently visited the Australia Zoo. It was honestly an experience of a lifetime. It is the best zoo I have ever been to, all my family loved how interactive it was, I interacted with alot of animals. The amazing environment of the zoo and the happiness of the animals shows how much you put into the zoo. When I found out you passed I thought it was a joke or something i wasn't aware that it was real. But when i saw it in the news i was upset I didn't meet you but i always use to watch your show and i was amazed by how brave you were. Oh and at the zoo they showed a cooking show you did with bindy it was so cute i was like awwwww. You are a true wild life hero. you have a strong family (: rest in peace steve :D

Steve was, is, and always will be, a great man. He was an inspiration to a generation of people like myself. When I first saw him on tv, I thought he was nuts. Then I started watching regularly, and soon I wanted to meet him. I will never get that chance now, but I can still help keep his dreams alive by doing what I can to make the world a better place for humans and animals to live in. Because of Steve, I can raise my niece in world of discovery rather than fear of animals. And for me, the greatest honor I could ever hope to achieve would be to shake the hands of the wife and daughter of the greatest man on earth. In honor of The Great Steve Irwin, I would like to offer these famous words: CROCKS RULE!
