You were an awesome human being, full of life and enthusiasm like no other. It saddens me to know your Bindi and little Bob will grow up without their father. You were a huge inspiration to all of us Stevo !!! It's not right that you were taken away from us so soon. Your little wildlife warriors (Bindy & Bob)will definately walk very proudly and fill your shoes. I miss you Steve, RIP.

Another Stevo Day has come and gone and i still miss you lke crazy Steve. Today i had a tattoo done in honour and respect of you. It may only be your name but it rests under my truest and only other tattoo i sport, a tattoo of a swallow flying above the waves against a setting sun. It symbolises being as free as a bird and as wild as the seas and that was you Steve so it felt like the best place to have it. You showed me it was ok to be myself and for once in my life i found someone just like me...someone in love with life and everything that is around us and for once in my life i didn't feel alone. Now i carry a piece of you with me and whenever i am feeling down or the good fight to save our amazing wildlife feels like an endless battle i can look at it and know that no matter what i can take on the world and i can make changes because you are watching over all of your warriors forever guiding us the way.Love you forever Stevo and next Stevo Day i shall brave my fear of planes and make it to your Zoo.

Just watched "Crikey, What an adventure" the Steve Irwin memorial documentary with my 10 year old son William (15th Nov 08)
My son, like many 10 y.o. boys my beautiful boy is more interested in Xbox 360 and the Simpsons - but he sat quietly watching Steve and his passion, I sat there with tears building up in my eyes with admiration of this man we have lost - never mind what Terri, Bindi and Bob have lost.
At the end my son turned to me and said "that was pretty good" if you knew my boy that is the highest compliment you can be paid.
Steve you were pretty good.
We miss him.

I don't really know how to put into words how I feel. Even to this day I still cry. Steve you were and will always be my hero. I also dreamed of meeting you and working with you one day. Even though I never met you I feel like a lost a very close friend. I pray for your family, and would still love to meet them one day. You were not only a great conservationist but also a wonderful father. You will never be forgotten. I hope to continue your work. I miss you so much.
