A sad sad day around the world with Steve's passing. My children are incredibly upset as they loved his many documentaries (as did my wife and I). His infectious enthusiasm brought a whole new generation of people to be interested in the natural world. Steve i first seen you on crocodile hunter i fell in love with the show and with the way you were with animals. Your an inspiration to so many people and i feel so sorry for your wife, your two awesome children and your father for the tremendous loss they have. I hope high in the sky you are reunited with your mother and your beloved animals you lost through your lifetime. The only thing about your death that im happy about is that you died doing the thing you loved most and im sure you wouldnt of wanted it any other way. You've done so much for animal conservation and you were never in it for the money or the fame, just you sheer passion for animals and you will be sorely missed by many. Full of genuine passion for what he believed in, Steve made a huge impact in the battle to help the world realize the importance of conservation. He went out doing what he loved and even though he will be sorely missed, his legacy is one that celebrates life in all its forms. RIP Steve Irwin - you were a great man.

Dearest Steve,
You will be so missed by me and the rest of the world. I have a deep love for reptiles, which alot of people I know find strange but you made it normal. You taught so many people compassion for God's creatures that most people barely knew existed and because of you there is a wide spread awareness and protective attitude for these animals. For this, the world is deeply in you debt.
I pray for your wife Terry and your children Bindi and Bob, I pray that their grief is bearable and swift. I pray that your journey into heaven was an easy one and that you are now looking down on us with a smile.
