I had been watching Steves show religiously for four years the year he died. After his death I stopped watching animal planet all together due to the fact they stoped his shows. I also own his movie and I will show my 8 wk old daughter the greatest man on Earth.

Today marks the 2 year anniversary of Steve Irwin's untimely death. Time has passed, but the wound still feels fresh. My love and prayers go to all who knew and love him, most of all his family and dearest mates and his staff. One person can change the world...and he did!
I issued an email to my friends and coworkers today, asking them to do something in Steve's memory, and to sign the petition on the Australia Zoo website.
...and now for the outrage...WHAT IS GOING ON W/ ANIMAL PLANET & DISCOVERY COMMUNICATIONS? Why is the CROCODILE HUNTER no longer airing at any times, ESPECIALLY TODAY!!! ???
To Steve, you changed the world in such a short time. You brought attention to those that need it most, those without voices - those misunderstood and hated because of it. You lived your life the way you saw fit and didn't back down to anyone. I will strive to be what you can no longer do here on earth, as I believe most of your fans are trying to do. You are my first and only hero; I'm grateful for your time, persistence, knowledge, humility and your infectious energy. Thank you so much for changing the world as you did. You have helped and saved countless of lives out there, and you have inspired people from all over the world.

It's now been two years since that horrible day that shocked the entire planet. Seeing a picture of you puts me into a state of shock all over again. It's so hard to believe that you dead. It was the only televised event in history that shook me to my very core. I was in such shock that it wasn't until the memorial that it sunk in. I don't ever cry for any reason, but that brought me to tears. It hurts so bad that even watching the tape on Sep. 4, 2007 on the one year anniversary made me cry all over again. Oh God I hate crying, but I'm afraid I'm near doing so again. It gets me every single time, even 721 days after the event. Rest In Peace Steve Irwin! The planet Earth will miss you!

Reading Terri's book amazed me my only regret was that I never got the privelidge to meet you myself. Steve Irwin has always been and always will be a HUGE inspiration for me. I love animals so much and he was amazing at showing how much he cared. Everything he's done for wildlife I hope that someday I too can do. I'd like everyone who remembers him to also remember to keep up the conservation! That's what he would have wanted I'm sure. I would like to start by saying that going to australia to meet steve and visiting his famous zoo has long been a dream of mine and im sorry to say that steves earthly being will not be around to greet and meet me but im sure he will be there in spirit. Steve was and is an amazing and genuine spirit and i say that with certainty that no one would disagree. The day I had found out about his passing was devastating even though we all knew it was a great possibility it would have happened.
