Steve was my all time favourite herpetoculturalist. His enthusiasm was infectious, and his love of nature obvious for all to see.
I hope that Terri and the kids will be alright. Our condolences are with you.

Why is it that the good guys leave this Earth too soon? At least Steve left us doing what he loved: not many can make that claim.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Terri, Bindi and Bob at this time. The enthusiasm and excitement Steve brought to his work was infectious. An animal lover like to other. We really have lost great person who has taught the world so much about conservation.
I know the surviving Irwins will carry on Steve's lasting legacy. His fans will do the same.
Bye, Steve. Thanx for bringing so much happiness to this world during your short stay here. :(

Can't believe it.
Coolest guy i've seen on tv, always runnin about in his little shorts like an overexcited schoolboy!
That said, he was more of a teacher to most.
Always felt like he was a mate.
Can't imagine what it must be like for those who were close to him. They'll never forget him, that's for sure!
Good on ya mate, thanks for reminding so many people how amazing life is.
Love and peace.
Dan.

This has just broken me. You're a bloody legend and a hero and it's such a struggle to come to terms with. I wish all the best for Terri, Bini and Bob and only hope they continue with your work. Australia did and still does look up to you Steve Irwin. You're a legend.

Steve Irwin to me was just an amazing person. In a world of so much destruction, Steve was there trying with every ounce of strengh in his body to save endangered species of animals, maybe a losing battle in todays ignorent world, but every bit of exposure he ever gained in the media he used it to show a love of animals.
From what I can see, he was a fantastic family man. My thoughts are with his wife and his two children at this time.
There will never be another Steve Irwin. We have lost a true gem.

Steve was a good man. May have been a bit odd in the past few years, but still a good man none the less. He died doing what he loved, and a cause that he believed in. That's the defenition of a hero to me. May you rest in peace, Steve. And may your family make it through these tough times.
