Hey Steve,
I cant ever remember a weekend night while I was growing up that my family didnt watch the croc hunter on tv. It was one of our favourite shows. EVen while I was at uni I would watch Australia Zoo, when I should have been studying. I was working in Japan when I heard that you had been killed. I thought it was a joke. Especially the stingray part - every one thought you would go by croc! A few days later I found an english newspaper that verified you had died. I couldnt believe it. I hope that you know the world looks up at you and smiles. I hope you know that there will always be respect for the work that you did and there will always be love for your family. Bindi was so brave at your memorial service. You were an inspiration, even if you were australian!! God bless ya mate, you did well. Love, from across the ditch, Leigh

I have to say ive never felt so sad as i did when i heard about steves death. Steve is an inspiration to everyone about how we should care for the enviroment and every animal that lives on this planet. His enthusiasm for what he cared so much about, and the knowledge he passed will be an inspiration to people for an eternity. I dont think anyone has touched so many people in the way steve did, and i dont think anyone ever will.

It is very tragic to have such a wonderful family experience such pain. Steve was a caring, devoted man, and his family was just the same. I mourn for them, and keep them in my prayers. Much love sent your way from USA.

Our family was just devastated by the news of Steve's death. Our youngest daughter, Gwendolyn (age 6), idolized Steve. He was her hero. She was absolutely crushed years before when Sui died. Upon hearing of Steve's death, her world fell apart. She dreamed of growing up and working at Australia Zoo with Steve. We all grew to love him for his passion, humor, dedication, and larger than life energy. But out of all of us, Gwendolyn felt especially connected to Steve and his family. We will miss Steve more than we can say. It literally has been like we've lost a member of our own family. Our prayers and thoughts are with Terri, Bindi, Bob, and all of Steve's loved ones. We never even met him and his loss has impacted us greatly. We can't imagine what those of you who were lucky enough to have him in your lives are going through since losing him.

I couldn't believe it when I heard the infamous, all around hero of wildlife, Steve Irwin, passed away. He was an idol of mine growing up. Every single day I would catch his show, The Crocodile Hunter, on Animal Planet. I would sit in awe infront of the T.V watching him perform these wonderful acts of kindness for the wildlife. I am 15 now and still watch his show from time to time. It never gets old, and the show always brings a smile to your face. Steve was a hero to many and will never be forgotten. I hope someone someday follows in his footsteps, but there will never be anyone with as much enthusiasm or character as Steve Irwin The Crocodile Hunter. We all miss you Steve; you were my hero, and always will be.

Dear Steve,
Altough i never had the privelege to meet you, i can honestly say you have always had a place in my heart. Ever since i was little i watched your show and called in during your contests in hope that i would one day meet you. Even though that i can no longer physically enjoy your presence, my dream still stands. Steve i hope you understand how much you will be missed everyday, it is still hard to belive that you are no longer on this earth, but i guess there is nothing we can do. I want to thank you for making my days brighter for 10 years and i want to thank you for never letting any of us down. You will be terribly missed by all of us. Steve Irwin, you will always have a place in my heart. God Bless!
