I'm not sure I remember the fisrt time I saw Steve on Tv, but I do know that seeing him that first time was so memorable that from then on he was always on my TV. I loved watching him with the animals. Even if you loved wildlife before you loved them even more after seeing him. He just had a way of drawing you in and getting you excited all over again. My daughter was born 2 weeks after Bindi was and so she grew up watching Steve and wishing she was Bindi. Steve and his family became like a part of our own. It is because of Steve and Bindi that my daughter is determined to work with and help save all types of animals. When we heard that Steve had passed away, we both cried and even now we still mourn the worlds loss. A few days after first hearing such sad news my daughter was watching an all day marathon of Steves show when she looked up with tears in her eyes and said to me "Mom, Steve isn't really gone, he will always be here to watch over all the animals who need him. whenever an animal is saved it'll be because of him. He made people want to help so how can someone so good be realy gone" It's amazing how insightful children can be. Steve will always be remembered for being such a special person. He ment so much to so many people.
Terri and Bindi, thank you so much for continuing Steves wonderful work. I know he is so proud of all the good you have done and still plan to do. Your family is an inspiration to us all.

I miss Steve sooo much on the tv. He was brilliant, and taught me sooo much about wildlife, he made it really interesting and certainly got most of the people in my age group interested in the welfare of animals. I give my sympathy to all the family and i just hope people will follow in Steves footsteps and look out for all the animals out there. I still can't believe he's gone. Yours sincerley Giorgia xxx

To lose someone like Steve makes the world mourn. But no one will mour like Terri who has lost a once in a lifetime soulmate. I can't remember the author but Steve's death brings a quote to mind which was the way he lived his life. "A coward dies a thousand deaths, but the valiant only taste of death but once. Only some who has lost someone whowas very close can begin to understand the magnitude of this loss. My God Bless Steve"s family from the bottom of my heart.

I found two little poems that i wanted to post here, both are passionate and crikey are they gorgeous...

Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household world that it always was,
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It it the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.

Do Not Stand at my Grave and Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!)

Steve Irwin was, in my opinion, one of the greatest men alive. He did more for animals and conservation than one could imagine. He is my hero, and I will hold his memory in my heart forever. My heartfelt apologies to his BEAUTIFUL family who I have come to admire and love dearly.
Rest In Peace Steve Irwin. I will help to continue your legacy.
