You know there are millions of arms holding you, and your family and friends at this time, and for a long time to come. No words will ever ease the loss that you, and the world, have suffered. All we can do is march on down the path on which Steve was trying to set us. The void will always be there, but with time the edges will erode until they are no longer knife-sharp.
Steve had the greatest fortune of being loved by the entire world. This love carries over to his family: not because he was a television star, but because of what he was; himself. He will be missed by this world-wide family, and we can only hope to try to life up to his expectations.

My daughter Issy found Steve to be so great and watch in awe of him on television. She will miss him greatly, he was just a down to earth fella, and for that, he just got the children interested in wildlife. Thank you Steve.

All my love goes out to Steve's family - they must be hurting so badly. I saw the memorial service which was amazing. What a wonderful tribute to wonderful man. The courage of his daughter had me weeping and at the end when his friends had those yellow flowers and spelt out the words CRIKEY while "true blue" was being sung.. well that was the most moving of all.
We'll miss you Steve. You were amazing!

I just fisished watching the memorial on TV and can only think of all the pictures shown at the end with Steves family. My heart is fill with prayers to all is family, Terri and children. I am sitting here watching Animal Planet and crying. I still can't believe Steve is gone. He is wrestling with a croc to relocate him. He was so full of life, it is just heartbreaking to think of him not with us anymore. I don't have any kids but being a big kid myself and avid animal lover I loved watching Steve,Terri, and the rest of the gang do their thing. My favorite show was Steve with the Oragatangs. He was a loving and caring man and will be greatly missed. There will never be another person live him. RIP..

My heart is broken about this. I loved that man like he was my own son. Because of him, I am no longer afraid of snakes and have some garter snakes in my house for rodent catchers. I found that they are better than a cat, don't have to put down a litter box, and don't have to feed. The best mouser's I ever had. His message about wild life and conservation was beyond any message that has ever been delivered in the world. I loved him and his family and wish I was an intimate part of the family. I love animals and now try to teach my grandchildren how important our wild life is. Steve, I am going to miss you, but thank God for television and film.
