Terri, Bendi, Little Bob, Bob, & Wes,
Words can not express, nor tears erase, how sad I am for the loss of our SteveO. He touched so many lives with his genuiness, passion and comittment. I pray that we can all be strong, as he was when Sue was lost. I think he would would want that. I also pray that the Lord, keeps you all safe and helps heal your hearts, as only he can do. I feel as though I have lost a brother, a best mate, and in fact I have. WE ARE ALL FAMILY. From my family, Denise, Joseph, and Matthew, here in N.C., to you all, we love you and grieve with you. Steve Irwin will never be forgotten. Our prayers, hugs, and best wishes to you all, always.
Sincerely,

Everytime I would watch Tv and flip through the channels to see what was on, the Crocodile Hunter always caught my eye. Steve was so happy and showed so much heart that it made me happy just to watch him work. He represented what was good and right with the world. My heart goes out to his family.

I just wanted to say thank you to Steve for instilling in my daughter a love for nature and science. His enthusiasm was contagious, and while her peers were collecting bratz dolls and talking about boys at the age of seven, she was outside chasing bugs and lizards because of him. He was her hero and he will be missed by all of us. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

To family
Apart from the pleasure he gave in his progammes and his conservation work, I thank him for teaching countless people that you do not have to kill wildlife just because you are scared of it. He will be remembered and missed, I hope someone can carry on his ideals.

Myself, my daughters Kayla who is 9 and Madison who is 8 are deeply sadened by Steve's death. His shows have graced our living room since 1997, when my first child was born. I remember her running to the TV saying, mommy the crocodile hunter is coming on with so much excitement and enthusiasm in her voice. We have been keeping up with the episodes on Animal Planet whom has been number one at keeping viewers informed on the times and dates of his memorial service. Terri, always remember that God is there to help you in this tragic time and the days and years ahead. That was a wonderful and very emotional memorial service on Tuesday, I think Steve would have been well pleased. Keep your heads up and keep smiling and laughing the way that Steve would want you to and keep loving and helping our wildlife friends great and small. Lots of Love from Lumberton NC. "Crocks Rule"!

I wanted to thank Steve for teaching my children so much through his television show. I have a 3 and 1/2 year old boy that just loves animals. He watched Steve many times in amazment. While I watched the memorial last night I cried along with many people around the world. The world has truely lost a great man. He will be missed by my family. We hope that Animal Planet will continue to run his shows over and over so we can continue to watch his lifes work. My sons dream of meeting the famous and sometimes infamous "Crocodile Hunter" may not come true, but I am positive he will never forget the things Steve has taught through the show. My heart goes out to you and I hope you can get through this tough time.

ALL the flowers of the spring
Meet to purfume our burying;
These have but their growint prime,
And man does flourish but his time.
Survey our progress from our birth--
We are set, we grow, we turn to earth.
Courts adieu, and all delights,
All bewitching appetites!
Sweetest breath and clearest eye,
Like perfumes go out and die;
And consequently this is done
As shadows wait upon the sun.
Vain the ambition of kings
Who seek by trophies and dead things
To leave a living name behind,
And weave but nets to catch the wind
we'll miss you steve, rest in peace

THE CROCODILES ARE CRYING
Endless visions fill my head, this man as large as life
And instantly my heart mourns for his angels and his wife.
Because the way I see Steve Irwin just put everything aside
It comes back to his family, it comes back to his pride.
His animals inclusive, Crikey light the place with love!
Shine his star with everything he fought to rise above
The crazy-man of Khaki from the day he left the pouch
Living out his dream and in that classic 'Stevo' crouch.
Exploding forth with character and redefining cheek
It's one thing to be honoured as a champion unique.
It's one thing to have microphones and spotlight cameras shoved
It's another to be taken in and genuinely loved.
But that was where he had it right, I guess he always knew
From his father’s modest reptile park and then Australia Zoo.
We cringed at times and shook our heads but true to natures call
There was something very Irwin in the make up of us all.
Yes the more I care to think of it, the more he had it right.
If you're going to make a difference, make it big and make it bright!
Yes - he was a lunatic! Yes - he went head first!
But he made the world feel happy with his energetic burst.
A world so large and loyal that it's hard to comprehend
I doubt we truly count the warmth until life meets an end
To count it now I say a prayer with words of inspiration
May the spotlight shine forever on his dream for conservation
My daughter broke the news to me, my six year old in tears
It was like she'd just turned old enough to show her honest fears
I tried to make some sense of it but whilst her Dad was trying
His little girl explained it best, she said "The crocodiles are crying"
Their best mate's up in heaven now, the crocs up there are smiling!
And as sure as flowers, poems and cards and memories are piling
As sure as we'll continue with the trademarks of his spiel
Of all the tributes worthy, he was rough but he was real
As sure as 'Crikey!' fills the sky
I think we'll miss ya, Steve .. goodbye
