I was so sorry to learn of the death of Steve, he was an amazing bloke. A great inspiration, naturalist and conservationist and he is greatly missed, his passion and enthusiasm has made people more aware of animal welfare.
My heart goes out to Steve's family, especially Terri, his lovely children and Dad, they have all been so brave and speaking at his memorial.
Steve is the reason I am going to travel around Australia next year and stop off at Australia Zoo.
To the original and best wild life warrior, forever in our thoughts and in our hearts!

Dear Irwin Family,
I am so devastated by Mr. Steve Irwins death, my deepest sympathy is for the Irwin family and the family at his zoo.
I am with the people to people student ambassador program, and when I heard that I was going to new Zealand and Australia next summer, I was so over joyed, that it was possible for me to meet Terri and Steve Irwin at the Australia zoo. Steve is and always be in my heart and he will be always missed.

Dear Teri -
You and Steve let your viewers into your lives. We witnessed the day you met, the birth of your children, we have laughed with you and cried with you and now, I, as one of your viewers, have have had my heart torn apart. I realize that my devistation is only a small part of you and your family's (private and zoo) but I had to write to you. Just writing to you makes my throat tighten up and tears come to my eyes, but I feel that you are a part of my family. I wish that there was something I could do for you, Bindi, Baby Bob and Big Bob. Just know that you will always be in my heart. I look forward to seeing you Terri, and Bindi, as well as Baby Bob carry on from here.

He was REALLY an inspiration for me and I loved to watch him on TV, his smiel and entusiasem was so admirering. I haver never ever seen or met a man with such a great warm heart of gold as his. Never. I would so much have met him in person but Australia is a VERY long way from Denmark. My love and heart goes to you Terry and your beautiful kids. To the Irwin Family,
I can truely say the world has lost someone special and one who teaches us that all animals are imoportant and how you could tell he loved his family. I lost my daughter who was 6 years old in 2004 and do know the pain you are al going through. He will show you signs and even come to you as my daughter did to my son to tell us she is ok. I will miss him and I know the family will never be the same but you will always have those special memories that only you shared together. God Bless you all. You are in my prayers.

Steve was an inspiration to all of us who love animals. Not only was he an amazing voice for the animals but he showed a compassion that was unsurpassed. I became a park ranger because of the example he set for youngsters everywhere. He'll be greatly missed by all humans and animals everywhere. Love and blessings to his family. Crocs Rule.

My grandkids, kids and I have watched Steve in awe as he brought wildlife into our living rooms -I am so glad to have appreciated his joyous enthusiasm for all things living. The world is a little sadder and greyer without him. I hope its some comfort to his family that so many feel for them. Its a profound loss to the world.
