My two daughter grew up watching Steve and his crews. They learned so much. He also tought mom a thing or two also. In some way I think that by watching and Learning it gave my daughter Savannah the passion to go on to study and to try and become a Marine Biologist. I have to give thanks to Steve for giving her that desire.

when i first heard about steve's death i did not believe it,i turned on the news and that was one of the top stories, on the animal planet "steve" is truly all that has been on and many viewers are turning in to watch, i then started to cry. since i was little i have watched his shows and his few movies,he was one of my role models and still is,he was so insparational and had a great sense of humor and so many other things i could say about him, i and many others will miss him greatly. it will be the hardest for you though, bindi and steve were so close along with terri and his friends. we'll miss ya,MATE!!

I was deeply shocked to learn of Steve's death when I looked at the news on September 4th. Even now, I still can't believe he's gone. I LOVED watching the Crocodile Hunter Diaries - Steve was so enthusiastic in his work. He was a dedicated conservationist who was admired by people all over the world. I love animals of all kinds myself and would like to think Steve is up there somewhere, keeping an eye on all the animals from tiny mice to huge crocs.
Terri, Steve was a wonderful man. I hope that thought brings you some comfort. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Terri, Bindi Sue and Bob Clarence, plus all of Steve's best friends and colleagues at Australia Zoo.

I'm so sorry for your lost. Not only, did you lose your husbond and partner, but also the father of your children. And the entire world, lost a great man. I can't say that I knew Steve, but I can say that I suffered a great lost too. I have always wanted to be like steve. "I want to be that good friends with the dangerous animals too", I would say. To have that power and courage, it amazes me. I love animals and have always wanted to dedicate my life to them. There was a time when i doubted though. But only because, the options are limited for my part. But after this, I know that this is what i have to do, when I want it so much. Rest in peace, Steve Irwin.
