Steve Irwin was the first..when we moved into our house in 1992 i saw his program and instantly fell in love with his enthuisasm and love of his family...i must say i am still sad today, it just seems the world will never be the the same because he was so different..my thoughts and prayers go to his family and you just wait bindi is waiting in the wings..i caught her recently in the states on t.v. when the family was doing the national parks special..she was fantastic...and little bob...he's gorgeous! the same term steve would use from time to time..yes there are still wildlife pros on t.v. but i never felt vested in them as i did with steve irwin....thanks, patricia pierce

I have been teaching science for 37 years in the U.S. in the Catholic School system. My students,at St Daniel the Prophet School, have prayed for the family. We are sending a packet of cards and letters pledging to help conserve and carry on Steve Irwin's mission and legacy. The tears of these children will help overcome the fears of the youth who lost a true hero, friend, and lover of God's creatures(a modern day St Francis of Assisi. Our year will be dedicated to intense study combined with a renewed enthusiasm and excitement that Steve Irwin displayed. One 6th grade girl commented that she can imagine Steve approaching God amidst a Heaven of all God's creatures....crocs, snakes, lizards etc and then saying, wait Lord, I have to get my ol mate (st5ing ray) which is looking sad ans ashamed, but us told you are forgiven.Welcome home Steve will be the Lord's summons.

Every human being should strive to live and love life the way Steve did. Like a diamond in the ruff, love for life glowed about this man. He showed the world that one's life work can be the joy of his/her life, can touch the lives of millions, and can raise the consciousness of humanity.
Perhaps no one dies a minute before he/she is supposed to, and no one lives a minute longer than he/she is supposed to - so Steve's passing is a message to the world to love deeply, laugh often, and have really good time every breathing moment.
No one is ever truly gone as long as he/she is remembered by even one person.
To all who knew and loved Steve, there will never be another man like him, but we can all create some really good energy in the world by striving to live more like him.
Blessings and Light...

The world has lost a rare gem! Steve(and Terri) made learning about dangerous creatures so fun and interesting. He definitely helped me get over my fear of reptiles so I could watch them on tv without having nightmares! He had a way of sharing his genuine passion for wildlife and conservation that it made everyone all the better for watching it. Nobody has done as much for the conservation of wildlife than Steve did. God bless Steve! I will keep Terri, kids and whole Irwin family in my thoughts and prayers.

We have lost a great man. He is my son's hero his mentor is what my son calls him. Because of Steve he wants to be a wildlife conservationist as well to follow in his footsteps. What a great role model Steve has been. My son is the same age as Bindi and although he grieved unconsolably for days by Steve's untimely passing he is more upset and worried about Terri,Bindi and baby Bob. He wanted me to wish the Irwin family his deepest sympathies and to say he loves each and every one of you because you are all a part of his hero and you stood behind him. God Bless you all.*Steve hold your mum tight mate, give Sui a big belly scratch and we will all see you again someday*

The world has lost a great man and conservationist. His spirit shall forver be remembered. Steve touched many people's lives (as well as animals) and he will be sorely missed. My children, ages 9 and 7, have watched all of the Croc Hunter shows as well as the Crocodile Hunter movie. They learned to respect animals through Steve and Terri's efforts. I know this is an extremely difficult time for the Irwin family (immediate and extended), but I hope that you are able to carry on in his name, and I hope that the pain you feel now will lessen dramatically in time. Our family will never forget him, as his impact was tremendous. Terri, Bindi, Bob and Bob(Steve's Dad)....know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We feel as though we have lost a family member ourselves, and we will never ever forget him...Steve Irwin......one of the greatest men to ever have walked our planet. Rest easy croc hunter.....peace be with you

My daughters grew up with you on our TV back in Australia and when we moved to California they couldn't believe their luck when they found you on TV and realised you were a bigger name here than back home. They still watch your show on Animal Planet and will continue to do with a smile as long as they continue televising it. Our prayers are with the family and my girls believe he is in a special place looking after all our pets that are in pet heaven and that makes them feel happy. Thank you for putting smiles on all our faces.

What can I say? He's probably the greatest wildlife conservationist I have ever seen in my life. I had a plan, in 10 years or so, I would go to Australia Zoo, find Steve, stop whatever he's doing, and beg for a job at his legendary zoo. Any jobs he offers me, I'll take it!! So long it involves helping him. But now, he's passed on, into a better place, but for all of us who are still living: let us continue his work. Let us make sure no more species be endangered. Let us all make Steve's spirit proud. Let us all continue his legacy. Because someday, I want Steve to be reborn, in another aeon of time, to be in a world where the words animal extinction does not exist. Your death will not be in vain, Steve. We all miss you very much.
