Dear Terri, Bindi, little Robert (Bob-Bob), Mr. Bob Irwin, Mr. Stainton, Wes and everyone at Australia Zoo, each time I think about him being gone or I log onto Australia Zoo to read more about Steve and his relationship with you all, I can't help but to cry because then I begin to think of how you all feel and I can't help but cry even more for you all.
I thought highly (and always will) of Steve and loved watching him on the television, to me he was so much more than just a man on television moving crocodiles from one pen to another...he was a man who knew these animals inside and out and adored them dearly. He made me think of crocodiles and other predators in a whole new light (Yes, even those I'm most feared of... Sharks!) and I will forever feel indebted to him and the rest of you for that. Thank you for bringing the idea that predators aren't always out to eat people, they're just doing what they have to do to survive too.
Even though I never got the chance to meet Steve in person, I feel in a way that I also lost a member of my family in some way. Please don't think I'm saying that lightly for I mean it with my whole heart. He will be greatly missed and you all are in my prayers. God Bless, Laura Rhoten

I still can't believe Steve Irwin is actually gone from this world. He was a one of a kind extraordinary human being. I have two boys that just turned 14 and 12 and they've been watching Steve Irwin on t.v. since they were small. He was their favorite person to watch on t.v. They loved the Crocodile Hunter. He is going to be so missed by so many people. My husband and I enjoyed watching him too. I remember when my sons picked out Crocodile Hunter Valentines to pass out on Valentine's Day and one of my sons still has his Crocodile Hunter lunch box. My oldest son dressed up in a Crocodile Hunter outfit with a snake when he was 9 on Halloween. They really loved and admired Steve Irwin for the knowledge he gave so many kids about wildlife and for his bravery around crocodiles. I have a baby too and she'll enjoy watching Steve Irwin's shows on Animal Planet too when she gets older. May Steve Irwin rest in peace and his spirit live forever up in heaven.

I have always supported Steve and his aspirations.
Some of your fellow Australians might have called you a crude example of Australian but you were just being yourself and come on! who will wear a suit to catch crocodile?? When my mum told me that you were dead, i totally couldn't believe it. Been planning to visit Australia Zoo next year and catch a glimpse of you. Now i am too late.
To Terri, Bindi, Bob and Bob Sr, i know no matter how many condolences were offered to you, it still couldn't fill in the hole left in your hearts by Steve's death. But be strong and carry on Steve's work for him.
I do hope that for the public memorial, you all would allow it to be televised as there are people like me who lived overseas that will want to pay their respects and yet couldn't come.

Dear Terri, Bindi, Bob, Mr. Irwin, close loved ones of Steve, my deepest condolences don't seem to be enough. I have been thinking of you all every day and wondering how you are going to survive this shocking tragedy. Steve inspired me to appreciate animals that I considered rather unlovable before witnessing his passion to save them. Terri is an inspiration to me as a woman, a wife, a mother, and a wildlife biologist. I pray we will one day see her able to go on with her and Steve's incredible work in wildlife conservation, public education, and helping us all to see the beauty in even the most frightening creatures. What a shocking, tragic loss for the entire world. Peace to you, Steve, and thank you for changing so many lives, human and animal. Thank you with all of my heart. Much love to Terri. Hang in there, we all love you and are praying for you and your babies.
Steve truly led an incredible life.

There arrent enough people left on earth like the Irwin family and we are all blessed to have been invited into the crok hunter's like...Tireless crousader, wild outback, up a tree, under water fearless natural man, completely devoted human being. Thank god for his message and double thanks for the legacy of your "FAMILY." Between Terri, Bindi, the Bobs, and Wess and the gang, the natural world has a relentlous conservation army. I am so sorry, I did not believe this was true for several days, I thought i was dreaming and wanted mom and dad to wake me up. I am such an animal person, I pick up all animals, even black widows which we have a lot of. My Dad gets on me for this but I tell him the hospital has antivenum and it will be ok. I hope to be just like you one day and will never ever forget you. I have seen every show you have and watch them again when they come on. I have a pet snake, pet gecko, pet mouse, 4 dogs, 3 cats, a chicken, a duck, and a goat. I love them all, you tought me they are all gods creatures. My 4 dogs sleep in my bed every night. I had 12 ducks but the coyotes got them. Me my dad and mom stop the truck and get turtles out of the road so they will be safe. My Aunt Sue thinks we are crazy sometimes but she aint right sometimes. I hope to one day get to the zoo when mom and dad can afford it. Steve, i will see you one day and i can not wait to meet you. If i die today i will get to see you and talk to you about all my animals. i love you steve. God Bless you terri bindi and bob. I love you all also.

Terri, Bindi & Bob, Are hearts are so saddened by your lost, Take pride in the fact that your husband and father has made a huge impact on all our lives and we've all learned a great deal from him. Having said that, Here's a quote that a true friend of my father lives by and i think this fits Steve in every way possible.
Success does not come from setting records, accumulating wealth, establishing a business, or erecting a monument. PEOPLE are the name of the game. To have success you must build upon the immortal mind with LOVE: Without prejudice or Greed!

It broke my heart to hear of Steve's untimely death. I cried for his beautiful family & his friends because of the pain they must be feeling. I've enjoyed Steve's special brand of education mixed with unbridled enthusiasm for probably a dozen years and it was never a dull moment. He lived a dangerous life but he was never reckless which is why this terrible tragedy is so hard to take. His lovely children are so young now, but one day they will know how brave their father was & how important he was in teaching millions about conservation and loving nature & all its creatures.
Be stong, Terri, Bindi & Bob. We are thinking of you.
Thanks, Steve. You will be greatly missed.

Our heartfelt love and prayers go out to Terri, and kids. To his father, and best friend. Also to the zoo crew, and the show crew, as they all acted like family. Steve will be sorely missed, I've never seen anyone love animals as much as he. I know what he has done for them will go on. I think its great his children will have all this awesome footage of their father!

I've watched Irwin since he first aired as the crocodile hunter. Like many others have already said, he was and is an inspiration to life... his energy and enthusiasm rubbed off on everyone. I am so thankful Steve shared so many beautiful moments of his life with us all, we not only saw the dedication he had for animals, but also his family. We thank the Irwin family and Steve's friends for sharing him with the world: a genuine spirit and a true angel.
And special thanks to Terri for being so strong for us all!
Much love to everyone! From Paula and her iguana(Guacamole).

Steve, I am a new fan. I regret not getting into your show earlier. I've always loved and respected everything you have done for wildlife. It's a bloody shame that you had to leave us so soon. The world definatley needs more like you. But we all know your legacy will be continued through your wife and children. You will never be forgotten but we're going to miss you dearly mate. My prayers are with terri and the kids, your family, staff and your many fans.

I've tried to tell myself that it isn't tragic to die doing what you love. But, with Steve it still seems so tragic. One of the few people these days so truly genuine and passionate you can't help but like him. I recall getting a Tiger Salamander, who would snap at me when I fed him crickets. With a smirk, I'd tell my girls, "Aye, he's a grumpy one. Waterdog, ambush predator." A good parody, but also a real statement of how much his message took with us. My deepest sympathy, and shared grief for his loss.

Thanks Steve-o for what you did for wildlife. I should say-for what you are doing. Your legacy lives in your wife, children, family and friends-and millions of people who watched your shows.
Your passion and energy is an inspiration to all who knew of you.
I eagerly await Terri, Bindi and Little Bob's future endeavors on behalf of Nature.
It will bring a tear to my eye to see Bindi diving onto a crocs back sometime on TV.
Steve-don't worry-Bindi and Bob and Terri will be wildlife ambassadors like most people cannot imagine-but I know it to be true.
Thanks for everything-the turtles, crocs, snakes, sharks and everything else are more secure because of you and your fellow humans learned something from you-to get involved with what you believe in and care for, and go for it 110% like a lizard drinkin'.
Peace Steve-o

Sweet Bindy and little Bob, what a legacy your daddy has left you, his love and passion for animals is beyond words, and his love for you both goes without saying. What a horrible loss for all wildlife and humanity. Tearfully I hope you heal soon. Linda
