I don't believe my eyes. People are actually killing sting rays. This is not what Steve and his family were about. The message he has tried so hard to spread world wide has been about understanding and perserving the animals. Not killing them. It wasn't fair that he was taken from the world too soon, but what kind of message are you sending to all who knew him and what he truelly believed in and loved with a passion. This is only undoing all that he has fought so passionately for over the few short years we got to see and enjoy him on TV. Please don't hurt what he loved so much. He would be devistated much as we are now.

Steve,
You were an extraordinary man. You're passion to save animals and teach us the wonders about them has truley inspired us. You were a loving man, and caring towards everyone. You have made so many accomplishments in such a short amount of time. I know it can be said that you've made your family so, so proud. And so am I. So are millions of others. You have touched the hearts of many. When it comes to people, you were one of the good ones. You were real. You were such a good person, which just emphasises the fact that it is so sad to see you go, at such a young age. And even though you aren't here with us anymore, you have become a part of us. My heart and my tears go out to you, Steve. I'll miss you, mate.
Terri and family,
I cannot express how sorry I am. I hope that you and your family can pull through these harshest of times. I know that you have lost not only a tuely wonderful person, but a deeply caring, loving family member. I do not know what it feels like to lose a family member, but I know what it feels like to lose one of the greatest people the world had to offer. The world lacks people like Steve. And even though my feelings are probably only a fraction to the grief you feel, I just want to let you know that I, and millions of others, feel for you. We are right behind you guys. I hope it helps, even a small amount, that because of how much Steve connected with the hearts of millions, that in a sense, he'll never die. He is a part of you, a part of me, a part of all of us. We will never forget him, and in this way, he will stay immortal for as long as we live. And just to let you know, we're all praying for you guys. God bless.

God Bless you!
I asked the Lord to bless you
As I prayed for you today
To guide you and protect you
As you go along your way....
His love is always with you
His promises are true
No matter what the tribulation
You know He will see us through
So, when the road you're traveling on
Seems difficult at best
Give your problems to the Lord
And God will do the rest.

Terri & family:
Words cannot express the depth of my sorrow for you. I know your pain and loss and you will get through this. May it help, if even ever so little, to know what Steve and his love of nature meant to so many. I envy your life...my passion has always been what he had lived but my path veered another way. I had 2 children to raise after the loss of my husband. So to be able to watch someone with so much passion about the creatures of this world..has reopened the passion in myself. I'll never accomplish all that you and Steve have, but I try to do my part to get the word out. He was about as real as they get....the last 'good guy' and no one else out there can hold a candle to him. My prayers and my tears are with you.
God Bless.

Dear Terri, Bindi Sue and little Bob
I was very sad when I heard the news about Steveīs way too soon death last week. He deserved much better and so did his family and the world for that matter. Steve made a difference and only few people will ever manage to get the results and open peoples eyes on the environtment and animals as Steve was able to. He and you Terri made a terrific couple on the screen and all of my family loved your shows and in particular the enthusiasm of Steve... o what a beauty and isnīt she gorgeous .. I sincerly hope that the three of you - with the help of family and friends - will carry on the great work at the zoo. I hope the very best for all of you.
May Steveīs soul rest in peache!

I was absolutely stunned to find out online about Steve's death and I get emotional each time I read about it or hear about him on the US cable channel, CNN.
I will sorely miss him and his "crikey" and my heart goes out to Terri, Bindi Sue, Bob and Sui who will need some extra comfort too.
He was a great person despite his humble self.
A public memorial is meant to celebrate your life but how does one not mourn someone as beloved as Steve?
Accepting your death isn't easy for me because I didn't say goodbye when my mother died and I was in the room with her but too numb to think or speak and that was in 1979.
Love Carol
Hugs to Terri
