Some people are always there. Steve was, and will always be such person! I can not imagine what Theri, Bindi and Robert are going trough now.
We can only take refuge in the footage he left to the world.

Steve, we will always remember you! God bless you

I was very saddened to learn of Steve's death, my heart goes out to Terri, Bindi, Bob & Bob, Sr. I was more sad to hear some negative comments made about Steve and his life's work. Not once did Steve ever exploit animals, quite the contrary. His' likeable and enthusiastic personality made learning fun and made us all care about wildlife; adults and children alike. I've heard some say that he was not a true conservationist compared to Jacques Coustou. Comparisons are never fair, I believe both men were true conservationist they just had different methods of getting their message across. It's cruel to speak ill of the dead, Steve should be allowed to rest in peace. Thanks Steve for all you have done - you will be missed!!

I am so sorry to hear about Steve's death. I am still like 'wow' when I see a commercial about him. I grew up watching him and I have learned so much from him about animals and snakes. I will always remember him and when I have my kids I will encourage them to watch his shows to learn from him and feel his passion for his job.

Seldom does one find a person with so much passion and exuberance. Steve became a personal favorite of mine and my family primarily because his was a show that we watched with pleasure with our four grandchildren. It felt as if we had lost a member of our family.

My family and I extend to Terri, the kids, Mr. Irwin, and all at Australia Zoo, our profound sympathy and the comfort of knowing that Steve made a real contribution to this world in his area of endeavor. We'll miss our Aussie "mate" greatly.

Being an Australian citizen living abroad, I still felt and still feel sorrow after Steve Irwin's sudden death. It has been a great tragedy to lose someone who genuinly cared for the environment and for people and animals alike.

Crikey! Still can't believe you're gone!

I was utterly shocked when I first read the news, simply couldn't believe the man with refreshing australian delightfulness that I saw on the tube every other day when dealing with animals is gone- stung by his very own love.

Loved his style and charisma, especially those cranky australian phrases he always used and i always used them to cut away tensions at parties.

Well mate, looks like you've left without saying goodbye to anyone.

Just to let u know, I've always and always will love ur khakis.

Dear Terri & Family,

There are no words for your loss. What does one say when you loose your lover, best friend, husband and the father of your children in such a sudden and shocking way. How do you comfort your children and explain to them that daddy is never coming back? How do you comfort a father who has lost his "BEST MATE" or sisters that have lost their much loved "BROTHER" As I read all these condolences sent to you and your family my heart swells to know how much you & Steve and your family touched everyone around the globe. My memories of Steve as I channel surfed my TV and stopping at Animal Planet and seeing Steve using his famous catchphrase "CRIKEY". It always made me laugh to hear him say that.

Terri, just know that the whole WORLD grieves with you and your family. So many of us feel that we knew you and Steve and your family personally.

My heartfelt prayers go out to you, your children and the rest of the Irwin family, relatives and friends.

God Bless You All

Mr. Irwin, I loved you and I always will. I have special needs and when I get sad, I would watch your videos and at night I hold my alligator and talk to you. You are a little hyper like me but you are much smarter and I can learn from watchings because I don't read good. I miss you already and I will pray for your kids and wife because they have lost the best dad and husband ever. I will never forget you - ever. You were my friend when my friends weren't very nice to me, you always made me happy.

Steve will be dearly missed, to say the least. I have had a difficult time in grasping what happened to Steve. He was so full of vibrance and passion; so much so that he seemed invincible. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and its very hard to come to terms with. I have 2 children, age 12 and 2.. both boys, who loved Steve, especially my youngest, and we watched Steve on Animal Planet every weekday, for years now.. so much that he and his family seemed like a part of ours. He has done volumes for the wildlife world, and his legacy will live on. Rest in peace my friend, Rest in peace. You will be dearly missed, mate.

I have had a hard time with this. I don't think I could, in my wildest imagination start to understand how, Bob, Wes, Terri or her children are coping with this loss. But today, something happened.

I though of an epiosode where Steve had gotten bitten by a goana lizard and how he had simply waited patiently for the lizard to let go. While at the time, we could see the bite was painful. Steve took it in stride, never shed an angry word and in the end caused us all to laugh with great humor.

Well, today I was able to smile thinking about that episode. He made me smile, and I know now, he will continued to make me smile, inspire the masses and make this world a better place for everyone AND everything.

Nice Form Steve, Nice Form.
