My heart is breaking for your family's loss and the loss of a wonderful man who meant so much to the whole world. His contagious enthusium was a great source of strength and happiness for me, as I am disabled, and he could always make me smile and laugh. I can't imagine how deeply missed he will be for his family and friends. May God give you the strength to carry out his lifes work. I know he will be watching you from above and smiling at your achievements.
I want to especially express my feelings of empathy and compassion to Terri, Bindi, and Bob. I know how it feels to lose someone so important in your life, and how hard it is to move forward. True love and happiness is a rare and beautiful thing. Cherish the memories and Steve will live on through you. It was a horrible, horrible, accident and I know there are no words to take away your pain.
God bless you all and give you strength to move forward with your lives.

Steve was the most genuine person I've ever seen on TV. He was not an actor. He saw an animal in pain or suffering & cried real tears. Now it's our turn to cry for him. RIP Steve. You dreamed of saving the animals. May your dream live on 4ever

Terry, Bindi, Bob and all Steve's family, mates and staff. Like so many people I feel the need to acknowledge Steve's tragic death, and recognise him - perhaps belatedly as a truly great Australian. In an era of "home-boys", foreign influence and cultural cringe, he wasn't scared of being who he was - an ocker and proud of it. In some ways it was tougher than taking on the local critics than the crocs. However he did it in his own inimitable style that is now imprinted forever on the Australian psyche, and due to his boundless enthusiasm, energy and generosity, it will be there for my grandkids to experience for ever.
We all miss him, and think of you at this tough time. Stay strong. You were touched by a marvellous bloke - we all were.
